The name Yë Si̽k Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Yë Si̽k Ner was founded by Trtêpí Crosrebu, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Yë Si̽k Ner has a yearly average temperature of 22°C (71°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 18°C (64°F). Yë Si̽k Ner receives an average of 69 cm/y (27 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Yë Si̽k Ner covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 7322 m (-18927 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Yë Si̽k Ner was founded durring the early 13th century in summer of the year 1231, by Trtêpí Crosrebu. The establishment of Yë Si̽k Ner suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.
Yë Si̽k Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Yë Si̽k Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.
Yë Si̽k Ner is buildings folow an organic layout of broad packed earth streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Yë Si̽k Ner weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. The budget focused millitary grade defenses has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.
A look around Yë Si̽k Ner is like a look into a broken heart which long ago fell to corruption. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need… unless of course, they would be an easy target for some robbery. The town has truly fallen to evil.
Civic Infrastructure
Yë Si̽k Ner has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Yë Si̽k Ner.
Yë Si̽k Ner has a government-funded child care program, overseen by the local Department of Nursemaids, which is responsible for providing childcare to working-class citizens according to local ordinances.
Yë Si̽k Ner has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Yë Si̽k Ner has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Yë Si̽k Ner has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Yë Si̽k Ner's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Yë Si̽k Ner possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.
Yë Si̽k Ner has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.
Yë Si̽k Ner has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Cultural Notes
While Yë Si̽k Ner has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.
Yë Si̽k Ner's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Yë Si̽k Ner was attacked by a renegade group of the army. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Yë Si̽k Ner lost 117 people, 138 livestock, and 90 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 71, when members of Yë Si̽k Ner's militia enacted an operation to deliver a message to another of their nation's army, then reinforce them. The operation was complicated by thick blankets of fog, which hid friend and foe alike. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Yë Si̽k Ner's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Yë Si̽k Ner's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
